Macaroon Cookie Bars

Ingredients
Crust
1 package Pillsbury Plus Devil’s Food Cake Mix
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened 
1 egg

Topping
14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flaked coconut 
1 cup chopped nuts 

Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease 13” x 9” pan.  In large bowl, combine crust ingredients.  Mix at low speed until well combined; mixture will be crumbly.  Press evenly into bottom of greased pan.

In small bowl, combine condensed milk, vanilla, and egg; beat until smooth.  Stir in 1 cup coconut and nuts; pour mixture over crust.  Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup coconut over top.

Bake at 350 degrees F.  for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool completely.  Cut into bars.  Makes 36 bars.
